February 24, 2005 -
Wow, what a place. On Wednesday (February 23) we flew down to Cancun,
and made our way (via Apple Tours) to our hotel at the Grand Palladium
Resort, about 2 hours south. Our hotel was about halfway between Playa
del Carmen and Tulum, or just south of Cozumel. We finally got to the
hotel about 3:00pm (their time) and checked in, then headed to the beach.
Beautiful beach. The next morning I was up in time to wander down to the beach to get some sunrise pictures. I just missed the sun actually rising out of the Caribbean, but was still able to get some good pictures. We spent the rest of the day at the hotel, getting used to where everything is. |

The Grand Palladium is a huge resort, and just beautiful. LocoGringo.com has a wonderful picture of the resort from the air. We spent several months reading the various websites & reviews of other visitors. I'll include more of these links on other pages. |
