"I want to help you out on two graves sites that you located. They are my half brother Tommy Lee Decker and our grandmother Mary Davis Decker. My mother had Tommy out of wedlock. He died when he was nine months old of pneumonia in my mother's arms, as I was told. He was buried nest to our grandmother Mary Jane."

Albert L. Collins

Springfield - Albert L. Collins, 92, of Springfield died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at the St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. He was born Aug. 27, 1918 in Jacksonville the son of William and Sally Decker Collins. He married Dorothy Masters in 1941 in St. Louise, MO. She survives in Springfield.

Also surviving are three sons, Gordon, Larry, and Tom; one brother; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

Before retiring Albert worked at Fiat-Allis for 30 years. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Mackey Daws Funeral Home in Roodhouse. Visitation will be Tuesday from 12:00 until time of the service. Interment will be in the Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse. Memorials are suggested to the Fernwood Cemetery. Condolences may be left online at www.mackeydaws.com.
