I have Sarah Bovee, Elizabeth's sister, as wife of Jacob P. and buried as Sarah Decker. Did she have a second husband named Ingram but buried with her first husband's name? Also, I forgot to bring up in my previous email when I discussed the Palmatier/Decker connection that Cornelia Bovee, another sister of Elizabeth and Sarah, was married to Peter Palmatier and the mother of Frederick Palmatier and Hannah Mary Palmatier.
To add more confusion to this mix---Hannah Mary Palmatier's husband Thomas Denison was also married to Mary Ward at one time and Mary Ward was the sister of Abiram LaVerne Ward who married Harriet Decker (my great-grandmother).

684. John N Decker
Biography of Robert Decker states that John N Decker and Mary Melius had four sons and five daughters.
All were dead by the time of the biography of Robert Decker in 1894.Also, note from Betsy:
********NOTE: Rear Admiral Benton Weaver Decker lists three more children. I did not include them as they were listed as children of John Decker and Polly. There was another John Decker married to a Polly. My John Decker was usually listed as John N. and Polly Melius. The three children I have not listed are :
John Lewis Decker b 20 Aug 1833
John Rensalaer Decer b 7 Oct 1835
Charlotte Ann Decker b 19 Dec 1838
Also, they were not listed in the 1850 census. They may in fact be children of John N. and Polly Melius and had died young, but I tend to think they belonged to John J. Decker and Polly Wismer who had children in the same time period.

He was educated in the district's schools and until he was thirty-one years of age remained at home, assisting his father in his farm work. ************Note:****************************************************
THE INFORMATION BELOW HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED. However, study the census and see that there is a close relationship as children are living with RUFUS and Catharine. Benton Weaver Decker apparently has Henry Decker (son of Joseph) b 1815 listed with the children I have listed below. My HENRY was born 1807 and the ages in the census would more likely be my HENRY than the Henry born in 1815. You may choose to add this following information or simply keep the notes until or when this is verified.
He married HANNA UNKNOWN. She was born 1810, and died August 20, 1850 in Livingston, Columbia Cty, New York38.
