My Journey:

 Back
May 2008

I don't know what there is to say about May..  not much really, probably the reason that I put off so much writing this month's entry.  Not that I don't do that anyway.

Well, after being so busy on odds & ends in April, May worked out a bit different.  I guess it was a bit of a soft month at the beginning, finishing with many items to keep me busy.  One was a big project at work, but that is done & over.  Then with my open house and Kyle graduating, and his open house, there was a lot of planning going on for the end of May and the beginning of June.  Add to that the planning for my summer trips, that are coming up in June/July and August.

My trip in June/July is combining business with pleasure.  Well... with genealogy.  As soon as I figured out I would be attending a conference in upstate New York, I knew that I would want to drive there.  And so I will.  The main purpose for driving is so that I can spend some time in the Ellisburg, Jefferson County area.  So many members of my line ended up there, brothers & sisters (and mother) of my great-great grandfather, that I first off want to see the place for myself.  Secondly, I want to be able to see what I can find out in doing my own research in the area.  I have several days that I can spend there, at my own leisure.
