My Journey:

 Back

March 2008

Wow.. where did March go?  We're already ten days into April, and the days are going by fast!  Must be a sign of being busy.  Hmm.

I do keep working every couple of days, or so, on my paint stripping project.  It's tedious, but I am almost done stripping down the paint and sanding the trim.  I have to move the door that had been removed.  We reinstalled it when I bought the house, but it needs to be moved over an inch and a half to match up the trim to the existing baseboard.  Then I have to find enough of the right pieces of trim, even by stealing some from the inside of another room if I have to.  The door was reinstalled using pine as the trim inside the doorway, so I have to buy some oak boards for that, also.

I did start work, also, on my other project, the redesign of my website (here).  Well.. so far I've begun moving the information on my house project and history to its own location so that it will become its own site, with a different look... cleaner & simpler.  I've already found out a little more on its history as I have researched links that I previously had information on, such as the 1892 fire.

I really should join one of the historical or genealogical societies here in Bay City.  Hmm.  :)
