My Journey: |

| Back |
November 2007 Not sure what to talk about in November, so I'll throw in a couple of points. First off, the dissertation is a pain. I've been done writing for a month or more, but spent the whole month waiting for email responses so that I can move forward. Go back to seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is there, but it's not getting any closer. At least not nearly quickly enough. Second of all would be the Detroit Lions. I attended two games this month at Ford Field. The first was against the Broncos early in the month, and the Lions were absolutely dominant on the way to a 6-2 record. What a great game to watch. Fondest memory was of Shaun Rogers (all 350 or so pounds) intercepting a pass and running it down 66 yards toward our end-zone for a touchdown. Then the other extreme. On Thanksgiving day, the Lions played the Packers, but were fairly thoroughly beaten. The third quarter was an extremely long nightmare. In the fourth quarter the Lions did just enough to make it interesting again, but it was too little, too late. Finally, I guess I would mention the nearly a week that I spent in Chicago (suburbs) for training. Nothing greatly special, but a great change of pace, and an opportunity to get out of town for a while. As of this writing, I am attending the second session (four more days three weeks later). And winter has arrived. |
