My Journey:

 Back

August 2007

Not much to say about August except that I am extremely glad that it is over.  Again.  Every year this month turns out to be the one that is most filled with work and stress.  It's not so much that it is hard work, but it is an extremely busy time that keeps me hopping from one thing to the next.  I would love to be able to take off about three weeks in August and just run away somewhere one of these years.

But, will fall semesters starting the first week of September, right after Labor Day, August is the time that requires the most preparation to get things started right for Fall.  But once Labor Day comes and goes (and with it, summer), things finally start to settle down into a rhythm and the stress levels come down.  Some.

I did manage to squeeze in a nice visit to Crossroads Village, and (although it was for a conference) also spent a night at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.  This was our second year staying overnight in Mt. Pleasant (about 45 minutes from home), and it is a nice hotel.  And, by not gambling, I didn't lose any money (however I did win at board games).
