A Work in Progress - First Floor - Living Room & Hall

Here is the living room, which spans the width of the front of the house.

The picture below is what I call the downstairs 'hall' with a fireplace.

The three pictures above (December 8, 2002) were from the second time we visited the house.  This was the day we decided that we wanted to make an offer on the house.  These are 'before' pictures.  That's Stephanie & Briana in the picture.

These three pictures (above) are from the day we closed.  The house is now mine (as of about 3:30pm) and we were removing the wallpaper by 5:00 to prepare for the new stuff.

We spent the best part of the weekend putting up the top part of the wallpaper.  Carpet is arriving on Monday (February 3)

This is Emily.

The new carpet (leaf color) has been installed.  The carpet in the family room will be installed tomorrow (as soon as we get it warm enough out there).

The chair rail is up, and we are moving in.  (Wow!  Furniture!)

For a while I had this old-style couch.  It wasn't much to sit on, but it sure fit the decor of the room.

More recently I bought an old style couch and chair that are pinkish in color, and match the room even better.

(To get a picture would probably mean that I need to clean the room...)
