Ahh.  The kitchen.  As we first saw it.

There were no blinds in this window, but the mounting brackets are still here, with the mounting bracket for the curtains on a block of wood in front of the blinds mounting bracket.

Odd place for the stove?

The red brick stuff has been removed.

I've since repaired this wall, and put a coat of primer on all the walls.  One of these days, I will get around to painting it, but I still have to figure out a color.

Update:  1/11/2009

The kitchen has now (as of yesterday) been painted.  I chose the Behr color "Peanut Butter" because I wanted something that would complement the them of "Coffee" but not be too dark, nor too light.  Also, the cupboards are already dark, anyway.  Here is the result, along with the addition of a couple of coffee themed items.
