A Work in Progress - First Floor - Dining Room

A view of the dining room, beyond the fireplace. This room doesn't need much work, however we have found that the wood trim has not has not had all the paint removed. A project for another day. The window here is an updated vinyl window. The original leaded glass window is in the third floor attic space, cracked & broken.

OK. So now it's the end of March. We've (Sherry) just finished removing the wallpaper (a couple week process, little strips at a time) from the entry hall (by the fireplace) and up the stairs. Now that that area is painted, it came time to look at the dining room. As you can see, Sherry couldn't wait to see how much easier this wallpaper comes down. Much.

These two pictures (That's Taylor), show the wallpaper before it's removed.

This wallpaper comes off MUCH EASIER.
This room has since been painted (burgundy), and I did a little bit to continue removing paint (as had been started before I bought the house). When I finish the woodwork in the second floor hall, this room may be next to complete the refurbish. (4/12/2008)
