Comments I am a great-great grandaughter of Uriah Decker, b 1805 to Jacob Cornellis Decker and Asenath Barden, through through his son, Clark Wilcox Decker. Did I overlook this line among the various Deckers you have listed?
Comments
Comments I also am a descendant of Samuel I. Decker and Mary Lovina Barber through their oldest child, Harriet Decker, who married Abiram LaVerne Ward. I have enjoyed sharing information with Lonnie Decker and am thrilled to see this wonderful web page. Until my correspondence with Lonnie, his ancestor was always referred to in my notes as "James F. Decker--moved to Michigan". Glad to find out about James's life after his migration from Niagara County NY to Michigan.
Comments Thanks for all the research you have done in adding the facts to many of the family. I am of the line of Jan Gerritsen Decker and I thank you for adding his family's facts along with Jan Broensen's. I have updated all my line, and the additions you have in your registers have helped document the records I have gathered from all over.
Comments My granddaughter Hilary brought up the Decker journey tonight and we were pleased with the recent updates. We are in San Diego in daughter Carole's condo overlooking Mission Bay and great view of downtown San Diego. Weather has been great!
Comments There were births in Kingston & Shawangunk listed here a while ago, and I am wondering if there is a file I can get in to look at them again? This is a great source of information, and I enjoy looking at all the new information you receive
Comments Don't know if I am related or not
Comments This is one of the best websites I have seen on the Decker Family history. There is too much misinformation on the web. This appears to be truly based on facts that are thoroughly researched. The site is easy to use. Thank you.
Comments I THOUGHT THIS IS SO NICE. A LOT OF WORK,I APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND FOUR BROTHERS THAT CAME HERE,ONE STAYED IN N.Y. ONE WENT TO TEXAS ,TWO WENT TO PA.,MY LINE. IT'S HARD,MY HAT GOES OFF TO YOU. THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR WORK. SUPER
Comments I have been trying to find my Mothers, Ada Maxine Decker, family back in Luzerne Co., Pa. We have found Thomas J Decker Married to a Sarah Ann Bodfish. They had a son James Benjamin Decker who was born 4 Aug 1838 in Luzerne Co., Pa. Married a Ruth Alice Morgan 22 Feb 1863 in Nodaway County Mo and James Benjamin died in Nodaway Co. and my Deckers have been in Missouri ever since and the line ended when my Grandfather James Woods Decker and his wife Matilda Rebecca (Tillie) Swartz, had all girls. I can't find the connection from James Benjamin Decker to James Woods Decker can anyone help??? The website is wonderful and unbelievable. If I don't fit in with this line the reunion still would be fun.
Comments I am a descendant the Decker Families. Great site! alot of information to absorb. Thank you.
Comments I am daughter of Burton & Shirley Decker. Granddaughter of Harold and Bernice Decker. My brother Burt Jr. wrote the poem on homepage. Thank you so much for including it. Burt was a wonderful, loving person and would be thrilled that it is here. Thanks Lonnie for all your hard work. Response From Lonnie: Thank you for the comments. I just wanted to take the time to point out the fact that Burt's poem was the inspiration for the naming of the site as the Decker Journey. I thought it was a wonderful poem, and a perfect theme for the website. I want to thank you and your family for allowing me to use this poem, in remembrance of Burt, and your mother, Shirley.

Comments Lonnie, What a great website (can't believe I didn't spell check the last comments!) I have more updates on the Walter DECKER line. I will snail mail them to you. Your house looks great. My husband I have done much remodeling over the years--I have great empathy for what you and your family are going through. Good luck and have fun. I really appreciate the time you take with this website and the information you are supplying to all us DECKER's. Thank you, Joanne Decker
Comments Hi Lonnie, I am only now getting back to your website, and I am even more impressed with the prodigious amount of research that has gone into it. I became interested in my father's people about six or seven years ago, but until I read what you have collected I had no idea just how many Deckers there had been and how their descendants had spread throughout this country. Please give me a clue as to how long it takes to amass this much information. However, I am grateful that you have done this work because, at my age, there is not much time to left to follow up all the leads. (Still your trip to NY in 2002 has inspired me to plan such a trip.)
Comments Decendent of Jan Gerritson Decker... Just browsing. Impressive!
Comments Great sight. But was looking for Jan Broers Decker

Comments Great site. Very informative. Thank You Ruth
Comments It's a great sight. I haven't had time to do much brousing but I will soon. I just found out about it to day through my family news letter. Keep up the great work.
Comments This was very exciting. I spent too much time reading and printing out stuff. I found much more of the family line past the fifth generation, which I personally didn't have and I don't think my mother does either. My mother is LaRue Haynie Elliott, daughter of Gertrude Mortensen Haynie, who was a daughter of Sarah Vilate Decker Mortensen and Lars Mortensen. Lars was also married to Cornelia, the 1/2 sister to Sarah Vilate. I plan to spend more time later on your website. You've done a great job.
Comments I recieved a family letter and just got to read it and check out your web site. I am a great great great grandson of Zachariah Bruyn Decker. I am interested in knowing my ansestry further back from Z.B. Decker. I will continue to use your web site.
Comments Hey Lonnie thanks for the pics, they will make beautiful background photos on my computer. :) Bridget
Comments Great website. Very helpful. Would like to met with you to discuss Deckers. My mother was a Decker from SW Indiana. I am having trouble identifying John Decker who married Barbara Sillard,1807, Knox county. He was my 3rd great grandfather. He was supposedly a descendant of Knox county Deckers. You have done a lot of great work. Thank You.
Comments Thanks for the updates the room is looks really good. You need to put some pictures of your trip on the web site so I can see them. NOTE FROM DAD: OK Kyle, I moved everything to a bigger server... now I gotta get everything working, then I can put up my pictures.
Comments Do you know of any relatives in the phila area www.deckerjourney.com
